While recent surveys show that many business travelers are ready to get back on the road, safety continues to be a concern. One recent survey – conducted by Promoleaf (with Censuswide) – showed that, as vaccine rollouts continue, what’s on everyone’s mind is not if business travel will return but what it will look like and how companies will ensure the safety of those who travel for business.

When asked, “What precautions would you want in place to be comfortable traveling for business again?” The top answers were:

  • Enforced mask-wearing: 56%
  • Recent negative tests for all travelers: 53%
  • Increased sanitation: 53%
  • Enforced social distancing: 51%
  • Vaccines for all travelers: 45%

One of the simplest solutions to enabling people to travel again is a vaccination passport, proving someone has been vaccinated. It could feasibly be carried in a digital wallet on a phone or as a physical passport. At least 67% of survey respondents liked the idea. More than 71% felt companies should require people to be vaccinated before they can travel again.
