Sherbune Paul

Windels Marx announced that Sherbune Paul has joined the firm’s Transportation Practice Group as an Associate Attorney. According to Matthew W. Daus, Partner & Chair, Windels Marx Transportation Law Practice, “Sherbune has significant experience in transportation regulation, administrative hearings and litigation, and has already started assisting our bench of clients. We are delighted to welcome her to our team.”

Sherbune was most recently Supervising Attorney for the Appeals, Recruitment, Training & Seizures Unit at the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC). At the TLC, she oversaw all unlicensed for-hire vehicle enforcement, including the prosecution of the agency’s seizure matters, the filing of vehicle forfeiture proceedings in civil court, and coordinated with the TLC general counsel to manage the storage and auction of forfeited vehicles. Sherbune also was responsible for supervising numerous TLC prosecutors and for training TLC law enforcement officials.

Sherbune graduated from New York Law School, where she earned her Juris Doctor, and from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Leadership and Development. In law school, she graduated with High Honors on the Dean’s List, and received numerous awards. Sherbune is also actively involved in various professional and volunteer activities, and currently serves as: President of the Haitian American Lawyers Association of New York; Director for the Civil Service Bar Association; and as Student Engagement Liaison for the NY Law School Alumni Association.
