After a good Samaritan’s video went viral – of a cab driver dragging a screaming elderly woman out of his car in Brooklyn – the driver was arrested in early Sept. According to in report in the New York Post, the driver was identified as Elsakran Mohamed, 46, of Bay Ridge. Court records reportedly showed he faces 10 criminal counts, including felony assault that caused an injury of a victim aged 65 or older.

The incident unfolded on Aug. 31 at East 35th Street and Flatlands Avenue, according to Flatbush Shomrim Safety Patrol, which posted the video.

According to an ABC7 report, the victim – a 78-year-old woman – had requested an Access-A-Ride for a physical therapy appointment. After her driver drove past the drop-off spot in Marine Park, an argument ensued, culminating in the driver dragging her from the cab. The good Samaritan who shot the video confronts the driver and tries to keep him onsite while they wait for police, but the driver rams his car into him. The video ends with the woman, clearly shaken, on the ground.
