The Independent Drivers Guild (https://drivingguild.org/) brought drivers and their families together for some much-needed down time in August and September, with Driver Appreciation Day events in New Jersey and Connecticut. The events featured food, fun family activities, raffles and free services, like Covid-19 vaccines.

The Connecticut event was held August 20 in New Haven, and was attended by State Representatives Anne Hughes and Robyn Porter, Chair of the Labor Committee – both of whom recognized the IDG’s efforts to win fair pay, benefits and the right to bargain for drivers.
