The New York Black Car Fund and the Independent Drivers Guild (IDG) are offering free, one-on-one Healthcare Enrollment Assistance to drivers enrolled in The Black Car Fund Drivers Benefits program. The health coverage works for drivers and their families. As of April 1, nearly 100,000 more New Yorkers became eligible for the newly-expanded New York Essential Plan, a program that offers affordable health coverage with no premiums or deductibles for those who qualify.
New Yorkers enrolled in the Essential Plan have access to: free preventive care, inpatient care, outpatient services, maternity and newborn care, emergency services, lab and imaging, prescription drugs, rehabilitative and habilitative services, mental health and substance use disorder services and wellness and chronic disease management services.
