The average price of a used electric vehicle (EV) dropped more than 20% in the past year, while an average gas-powered vehicle cost about 7% less in the same time frame, according to Edmunds. In its quarterly used vehicle report, Edmunds pegs the average price of a used EV at $42,482, down 20.5% from the second quarter of 2023. The average price of a gas-powered vehicle was $29,382 in the second quarter (6.8% less). The average hybrid price was $32,038, down 5.1%.
