The New York Black Car Fund (BCF) is holding its next Steering Towards Success Resource Fair on Monday, August 17th, at their Driver
ducation Center (37-10 Skillman Ave, Long Island City, NY, 11101). The event will include the following:
- Details about the organization’s Earn While You Learn™ opportunities
- Guidance on how to access a slew of Drivers Benefits
- No-cost health screenings for glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure
- Access to no-cost preventative screenings for prostate and colorectal cancers
- Mental health resources
- Loan guidance
- Free raffles and giveaways
The BCF’s partners include Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Mount Sinai, The Hebrew Free Loan Society, Drivers Benefits, and the Independent Drivers Guild. There are two sessions: 10:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 3:00pm. The BCF recommends that drivers RSVP, or entry cannot be guaranteed. Limited garage parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 20 drivers at each session get an exclusive Swag Bag. Questions? Email COM@NYBCF.org.
“A huge thank you to the drivers who took the time to stop by, ask questions, and stay connected with us at our June 22nd Resource Fair (see photos),” said BCF executive director, Ira Goldstein. “We look forward to continuing these fairs and bringing even more resources to drivers throughout the year.”
