NYPD officers and medical examiner personnel found a man in his 50s dead inside of a New York City taxi in front of 2166 8th Avenue in the area of Frederick Douglass Blvd and West 117 Street within the confines of the 28th precinct in Manhattan, on July 2, 2026. At approximately 5:29pm, the discovery was made. EMS responded and pronounced the man deceased on scene. There were no arrests; the investigation is ongoing.
