The Taxicab Limousine & Paratransit Association (TLPA) held its 99th Annual Convention & Trade Show in Denver, from October 8-12. The event drew nearly 800 attendees from around the world, and featured approximately 100 vendors, showcasing industry products and services – plus a diverse seminar series and annual award ceremonies.
Prominent members of New York City’s For-Hire Vehicle (FHV) industry took home two of the organization’s most prestigious awards, and continue to play an important role at the TLPA.
Berj Haroutunian, President of Long Island City’s Vital Transportation, received TLPA’s 2017 “Limousine & Sedan Operator of the Year” award and Michael Masiello, a driver for Delux Transportation Services in Port Washington was TLPA’s 2017 “Limousine & Sedan Chauffeur of the Year.”
Ira Goldstein, Executive Director of the New York Black Car Fund and the Black Car Assistance Corporation, was named a TLPA Vice President and Dr. Avik Kabessa, CEO of Carmel Car & Limousine, is serving a three-year term on the TLPA’s Board of Directors.
