The winners of the 2025 World Car Awards were announced in April during the New York International Auto Show, which celebrated its 125th anniversary this year. Recognized as one of the most prestigious honors in the automotive industry, the World Car Awards have been presented in partnership with the New York Auto Show for the past 20 years.
The vehicles are chosen by a “jury” of 96 leading automotive journalists from around the world for their innovation, design, and all-around excellence. This year’s World Car Awards winners included:
- World Car of the Year – Kia EV3
- World Luxury Car – Volvo EX90
- World Performance Car – Porsche 911 Carrera GTS
- World Electric Vehicle – Hyundai Inster / Casper Electric
- World Urban Car – BYD Seagull / Dolphin Mini
- World Car Design of the Year – Volkswagen ID. BUZZ
Four of the winning vehicles were on display to the public at the New York Auto Show at the Javits Center this past April.
