According to a Business Travel Show survey of 262 European travel and procurement managers, more corporate programs are providing special consideration for LGBTQ travelers – 43% of programs now make provisions for the LGBTQ community, up from 26% in 2022, while an additional 23% plan to do so by year’s end. The need arises if a traveler who identifies as LGBTQ+ is planning to travel to a country where local laws are restrictive and/or punitive.

The poll also found only 39% of companies cater to neurodiverse business travelers, with 38% more planning to improve polices by the end of 2023. Inclusivity in most travel programs focus on young people (54%) and communities marginalized based on faith, race or religion (50%). Companies are also considering programs for accessibility requirements (48%), the elderly (47%) and solo female travelers (45%).
