The Long Island Limousine Association (LILA) is urging riders to hire only licensed car, van, or limo operators. The organization also launched a new tip line for reporting unlicensed drivers.
Tom Gouldsbury, LILA’s president and owner of Azure Limousine said, “Many unlicensed operators are using social media to solicit customers who may not realize they are hiring an unlicensed driver. Many people are doing this as a part-time gig, and it’s unsafe.”
