Police are looking for a man who they say robbed a For-Hire Vehicle (FHV) driver at gunpoint in the Bronx. Police said the 28-year-old victim had stopped near Hudson Parkway and Mosholu Parkway on the afternoon of Jan. 26 to help the suspect, who appeared to be having mechanical trouble with his car on the side of the road.

When the suspect got into the FHV driver’s car, police said he pulled out a gun and demanded money. The victim drove to a bank, where he withdrew approximately $1,400 from his account. He handed the money over to the suspect, who fled the scene after getting into a gray SUV that was being driven by a second suspect.

No one was hurt during the incident.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers website or on Twitter @NYPDTips.
