The impact the pandemic has had on business travel is well documented and the changing market conditions are leading to a significant shift in the industry. The latest report from Asia Pacific, Amadeus – titled Rebuilding Business Travel – offers insights from global leaders in the business travel industry, along with a general outlook and recovery strategies for 2022. The report, which is based on insights from over 250 Travel Management Company (TMC) executives, explores opportunities, challenges, and growth strategies that experts think will shape the future of business travel.

The findings, which can be found in an e-book by clicking here, include some of the following insights:

  • 82% of business travelers want information about health and safety on the country they are visiting, before and during their business trip.
  • 57% of TMCs see a shift from “unmanaged” to “managed travel,” reflecting the increasingly complex, logistical and risk management exercises that employers will need for future travel arrangements.
  • 71% of TMCs cited technological advancements as the top strategy for the recovery of business travel.
