An 82-year-old cab driver was savagely attacked after a dispute over a fare, police say. The attacker was still wanted as of late November, but his image can be viewed here: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/taxi-driver-82-punched-unconscious-by-fare-dodger-nypd/ar-AA1k62P7.

After knocking the cab driver to the ground with punches to the face, the suspect then viciously kicked him while he was unconscious, police said. The suspect was last spotted on surveillance video casually walking away toward Orchard Street. Detectives say he then had the audacity to get away in another cab.

After days in the hospital, the driver was cleared to return to work. A retiree from the United States Postal Service, he now leases a medallion and has been driving for the past decade. He says nothing like this has ever happened to him before.
