On July 30, a red Tesla with TLC plates was towed away after what eyewitnesses described as a long and reckless run through the West Village and beyond. The vehicle was reportedly swerving between lanes and other cars, creating fear and mayhem. At a stoplight, the driver tried to squeeze between lanes, but could go no further, and one of the assailants made a run for it.
Police arrested three people, two at the scene and the other was arrested a few minutes later. They were charged with reckless driving. Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
