In a disturbing road rage incident, an 82-year-old taxi driver was assaulted with pepper spray in Crotona Park after a verbal dispute with another driver. Police were still asking for the public’s help locating the suspect as of April.
On March 9 around 6:15pm, authorities say a man exited a grey sedan and began arguing with the cab driver at the corner of Lowell Street and Longfellow Avenue. The suspect then pepper sprayed the man, returned to his vehicle and drove off. The victim was treated by EMS at the scene.
The NYPD released video footage and photos of the suspect in the hopes someone may recognize the individual and provide information leading to an arrest.
