The New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) announced a new partnership with the NYC Department of Transportation (DOT) to offer TLC licensees discounted electric vehicle charging at two municipal fast charging hubs. Currently, the discount is available at the Court Square Municipal Garage (45-40 Court Square, LIC) and the Delancey and Essex Municipal Parking Garage (105-113 Essex Street and 112-120 Ludlow Street, NY, NY).
TLC drivers pay 30¢ per kW, a discount of 5¢ per kW. The cost of the first hour of parking will be deducted from the charging transaction. To receive the discount, licensees must sign up at: www.evconnect.com/drivers. You can use the same email address to sign up for the EV Connect App(available on Android and iOS).
DOT has said it will continue to expand discounts to TLC-licensed drivers at more fast-charging stations across the five boroughs.
