A teenage girl is facing charges in the violent robbery of a taxi driver in Bergen Beach, according to police. Authorities say the 14-year-old attacked the driver on the night of April 11 in the parking lot of a Bank of America on Ralph Ave. The 26-year-old victim initially refused to give the girl a ride, stating that she felt unsafe. Police say that’s when the teen punched her, put her arm around her neck, stole her bag and fled with $300. The teen was later apprehended and charged with robbery. The victim was not seriously hurt, according to authorities.
