In November, Revel, the Brooklyn-based electric mobility company, alongside the Independent Drivers Guild (IDG), The Black Car Fund (BCF), Drivers Benefits, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center (MSK), and NYU Dental, hosted the second annual Driver Wellness Day, providing physical and mental health resources to over 100 eligible Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) drivers and community members at no cost. The health fair was held outside Revel’s flagship EV fast charging station in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. TLC Assistant Commissioner for External Affairs Audra Palacio also joined the event.

Resources available at the event for eligible TLC drivers and community members at no cost included:

  • Health screenings in MSK’s mobile health unit, including blood pressure and cholesterol checks
  • Eye exams in the Drivers Benefits Vision Van
  • Dental screenings from NYU Dental students
  • Health provider coverage resources and information from IDG and BCF
  • Driver-specific wellness tips and resources from the TLC
  • Mental health best practices and therapy 101 information from Humantold

“Revel was proud to host this wellness fair for the second year in a row, giving drivers an opportunity to access great physical and mental health resources at no cost while they charge their EV,” said Angela Bramham, VP of People for Revel. “We’re very grateful to our many partners, including the TLC, IDG, BCF NYU, MSK and Humantold, for bringing their teams to our flagship hub. We’re already looking forward to the next one!”
