Drivers who attended The Black Car Fund’s (BCF’s) Feb. 10 Resource Fair enjoyed quick and easy access to information about the many benefits available to them at no cost through the BCF Drivers Benefits program, met with members of the Independent Drivers Guild and got free check-ups from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center healthcare professionals.

Drivers also spoke to a representative from the BCF’s newest partner, the Hebrew Free Loan Society (HFLS), which provides interest-free loans up to $7,500 for low- and moderate-income residents of New York City, Westchester, and Long Island regardless of religion, immigration status, or credit score.

The first 25 people to arrive at the event – held at the BCF’s Driver Education Center (37-10 Skillman Ave, Queens, NY 11101) – received a special door prize, and all attendees were entered into a raffle that gave away gift cards for AutoZone and PepBoys, car vacuums, emergency snow shovels (with a 180° pivoting snow brush), thermal socks and gloves, and Halo Bolt Ultimate 3.0 devices, which not only can jump start a vehicle, but can inflate tires, charge USB and AC-powered devices, and has an integrated floodlight for roadside emergencies or power outages.
