Since the 2018 Camry SE was introduced this past September, Hudson Toyota has seen its monthly sales of the popular car more than double. The dealership now sells upwards of 60 each month to fleet operators in the New York City Metro Area, according to John Himmelman, Director of Fleet Operations for Hudson Toyota/Nissan/CJD.

The Camry SE/Livery model, a favorite in the New York Black Car and Luxury industry, features Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), which includes an adaptive cruise control system that works at all speeds, a forward collision warning system with pedestrian detection capability, an automatic emergency braking system, a lane departure warning system with lane departure prevention, and automatic high-beam headlight operation. The car also features a new drivetrain, direct injection engine (for more torque, horsepower and fuel efficiency) and a new TNGA platform/chassis that offers improved driving dynamics. The car gets exceptional gas mileage – with the LE Hybrid model getting 52 MPG on the highway. The Camry SE gets a Five-Star Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and IIHS TSP+.

“We recently received a new shipment of fleet-ready Camry SEs,” says Mr. Himmelman. “We currently have about 70 in stock, and always keep plenty on the lot.”
