We are deeply saddened to report that Atlee Rutter III, the beloved son of longtime limousine industry leader, Dawson Rutter, passed away on November 6. On November 12, more than 650 people gathered to support Dawson Rutter and Tami Saccoccio of Commonwealth Worldwide at a “celebration of life and remembrance,” nearly half of which were friends and loved ones from the ground transportation industry – many of whom traveled thousands of miles to attend. A funeral service was held in New Orleans on November 15, at the Ignatius Chapel at Loyola University where the 23-year-old Atlee was attending school. An accomplished woodworker, painter, sculptor, skier, golfer, and an avid reader, Atlee had long struggled with depression and tragically took his own life. Black Car News offers its deepest condolences to Dawson, Tami and all who knew and loved Atlee Rutter III.
