A driver and his passenger were injured in March after construction equipment hit a yellow taxi in Brooklyn, causing significant damage to the vehicle’s roof, right above the driver side. The incident occurred on the afternoon of March 9, near a construction site on New York Avenue in East Flatbush.

The Department of Buildings said the taxi was passing by when the arm of a man-lift landed on top of it. The taxi driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital and treated for injuries.
