The Black Car Fund (BCF) is holding its next Resource Fair on Aug 25, at their Driver Education Center (3710 Skillman Ave., Long Island City, NY), where drivers can learn about the many FREE benefits they receive from the Fund, get FREE health care screenings, access interest-free loans and win prizes.

The event will feature morning and afternoon sessions. The first 25 drivers to arrive for their session will receive an exclusive door prize. Drivers are encouraged to RSVP as slots are filling up quickly, by calling (212) 269-8200 or emailing com@nybcf.org.

There will also be additional drawings offering drivers the chance to win a dashcam:

  • The first 100 drivers or Member Base representatives to RSVP will be entered in a raffle to win a dashcam.
  • The BCF is also rewarding people for referring fellow drivers. If a driver gets five other Covered Drivers or Member Bases to RSVP for the event, they will be entered into a separate raffle to win a free dashcam.

Representatives from the BCF will be answering questions about their Drivers Benefits program, medical professionals from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center will be conducting free medical screenings and The Hebrew Free Loan Society will be on-hand to tell drivers about the interest-free loans they provide to residents of NYC, Westchester and Long Island, regardless of heritage or religion. As always, there will also be light refreshments.

The BCF will host its second UPSTATE Resource Fair in Buffalo, NY on September 15-16. The BCF will provide resources designed specifically for covered drivers upstate, and experts will field questions regarding their many benefits, paid for through a small surcharge on rides the drivers perform. There will be free raffles, giveaways and light refreshments. The first 50 drivers who arrive each day will receive an exclusive BCF door prize. Additional prizes will be handed out to attendees who refer fellow drivers to the event. For information, email com@nybcf.org.
