Judge Shoots Down TRO - Tax to Be Collected Starting June 1
On May 28, a frustrated New York City for-hire vehicle industry traveled to Albany to fight a tax they consider "unconstitutional" and point out its many "problems" to the judge. Unfortunately, Judge Roger D. Mc Donough denied the request, so this messy and confusing tax still needs to be collected starting June 1. That means every Black Car, Limousine and Livery driver and base needs to register with the NY Department of Taxation.
