A taxi driver was violently assaulted and robbed by a passenger in East Flatbush on August 30, at around 2:35pm, according to police. The incident happened when the 29-year-old driver dropped off his passenger on Clarendon Road. The passenger got into an argument with the driver over payment before punching him in the face and taking out a knife. He threatened the driver, took his cellphone and ran out of the car without paying.
