For the second year in a row, the International Association of Transportation Regulators  (IATR)  held  an  informative session, “Representing & Supporting the Ground Transportation Industry,” at their 39th Annual Conference (www.iatr.global) – this year, in Las Vegas, from Sept. 14-17.

Participants  included  Ira  Goldstein, executive director of the New York Black Car Fund; Bill Rouse, president of The Transportation  Alliance;  and  Tiffany Hinton, secretary of the National Limousine Association (NLA) – with IATR President, Matthew W. Daus, Esq. serving at “moderator & ring leader.” The  session“ convened  association leaders representing licensed and regulated industries, along with other stakeholder organizations, to discuss a wide range of issues important to regulators, the industry and the riding public. The issues the panel addressed included driverless vehicles, the insurance  crisis,  modernization  efforts, public-private partnerships, labor concerns, reciprocity, leveling the regulatory playing field, and electrification.
