Blackbird Worldwide (www.blackbirdworldwide.com) announced that Donovan Wilson has joined their team as Vice President of Corporate Transportation Services. He joined the company after 12 years with Barclays Bank.
“Donovan has always had a great relationship with companies in the industry and it is my belief that he will continue to foster outstanding relationships with both our customers and our affiliates,” said Raj Grewal, President and CEO of Blackbird Worldwide.
Donovan started in the corporate transportation business as a dispatcher with Skyline Credit Ride in the late 1980s. He graduated from Bernard M. Baruch College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications and a minor concentration in Industrial Psychology He worked at Lehman Brothers as the evening car service manager for over eight years and later joined Barclays Bank as a transportation manager. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President, and then Vice President in 2014, transitioning to Travel Supplier Relations Manager in 2020.
As the transportation industry struggles to emerge from the economic impact of COVID-19, Donovan said he is excited by the opportunity to develop strong business relationships with executives and planners who desire a company that is prompt and delivers customer service of the highest standard.
Donovan is also Vice President of the Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations USA Inc and the President of St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) Alumni Association. He is also a tax professional who has been registered with the Internal Revenue Service and New York State for over 10 years. A long-time resident of Rosedale Queens, he has two children – Breanna, 18, and Jayden, 15, who both attend schools in Queens.
