The Black Car Fund (BCF) hosted its first Steering Towards Success Resource Fair on Sept. 14 to help educate drivers and bases about the many benefits provided to Covered Drivers, as well as connecting them with other helpful resources. Memorial Sloan Kettering provided info and health screenings; representatives from the city’s Taxi & Limousine Commission were in attendance, answering licensing and other questions. The BCF also fielded questions on “Earn While You Learn” opportunities, the importance of enrolling in their no-cost Driver’s Benefits Program, and general Worker’s Comp info. The BCF Auditor Team was on-hand to answer Member Base questions.
Attendees also enjoyed exclusive giveaways, a raffle, light refreshments and snacks during the event, which was held at The Black Car Fund Driver Education Center, 37-10 Skillman Ave in LIC. For more info, visit www.blackcarsafetyclasses.com.
