A 13-year-old was arrested in connection to a knifepoint robbery that left a bystander injured. On January 4, around 7:00pm, police were called to the Spring Valley Memorial Park for a reported stabbing. Officers learned that a taxi driver, who had picked up three males, was attacked by the passengers.
The driver says one of the three assailants brandished a knife, then stole his phone and a large sum of cash. A good Samaritan, who attempted to intervene, was slashed with a knife, according to police.
Investigators arrested a 13-year-old Spring Valley resident, who is charged with first-degree robbery. Two other suspects were still being sought as of mid-January.
