The New York Black Car Fund is holding its next upstate Steering Towards Success Resource Fair on September 15 and 16, at the North Tonawanda Football Hall of Fame (240A Goundry Street, Rear Building, North Tonawanda, NY 11420).
On September 15, drivers can arrive between 2:00pm and 6:00pm. On the first day of the fair, the “Health on Wheels” team from the University of Buffalo will provide free blood pressure checks, guidance about health navigation, and answer any questions regarding health education.
They will not be available on September 16th, but drivers are invited to attend the event that day between 10:00am and 2:00pm. On both days, eligible drivers can receive helpful information and meet representatives from The Black Car Fund, Drivers Benefits, and the Independent Drivers Guild (IDG). They can also learn about more than a dozen benefits they may be eligible for, sign up to earn $400 for completing the Fund’s free NYS-certified Defensive Driving Course (DDC-6) and enter FREE raffles for prizes like dashcams, gift cards, and more.
The resource fairs are held in an open-house format. There is no set program; drivers can stop by anytime, but RSVPs are REQUIRED to attend, due to limited space. Raffles will be drawn every hour, so staying the entire session increases your chances of winning a prize. Plus, the first 20 drivers to arrive each day will receive an EXCLUSIVE BCF Swag Bag and a meal.
