The NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) approved raising the minimum pay for drivers working for High-Volume For-Hire (HVFHV) services. Scheduled to take effect Dec 19, 2022, a judge struck down the proposed rate increase Jan. 6, due to a legal action initiated by Uber. The current minimum pay rates are available at: https://www.nyc.gov/site/tlc/about/driver-pay-rates.page

On January 19, the TLC released the following Notice: “Minimum High-Volume For-Hire Driver Pay Rates to Increase Beginning February 1, 2023.

Beginning Feb. 1, the following minimum pay rates will be in effect:

  • Non-WAV per minute: $0.564
  • WAV per mile: $1.600
  • WAV per minute: $0.564
