The New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC) announced it is holding an online public hearing on Zoom to solicit testimony and written comments on two proposed rule packages on August 9, at 10:00am. The hearing will be livestreamed on TLC’s website at www.nyc.gov/tlc. There will be no in-person public hearing.

The TLC is proposing to amend rules relating to the payment of a round-trip toll on the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge and one that would update in-vehicle camera system (IVCS) specifications for taxis and street hail liveries, removing the requirement that livery vehicles be equipped with a partition or an IVCS.

To participate at the hearing, e-mail tlcrules@tlc.nyc.gov or call 212-676-1135 by 5:00pm on August 8. Comments can also be emailed to tlcrules@tlc.nyc.gov; mailed to the TLC’s Office of Legal Affairs at 33 Beaver Street, 22nd Floor, New York, NY 10004; or faxed to 212-676-1102.
