Experts agree that travelers are looking for innovations that improve safety, reduce stress, streamline the process of hiring transportation at every point of contact, and find new ways to explore the world. Arun K Chittilappilly, managing director at Wonderla Holidays shared some top trends to look out for in 2023.

Increased focus on experiences. Travelers are placing a growing priority on interesting and fulfilling experiences wherever they go. This could involve activities like immersive tours, outdoor expeditions, and cultural workshops.

Rise of women travelers. Bleisure travel, which combines leisure activities during a business trip, is expected to continue in 2023, particularly among women. A rise in solo female travelers and women-led travel groups is also anticipated.

Mass bookings. An important trend, as corporate travel continues to rebound, is group activities designed to enhance mental well-being and team building among employees. This could include incentive travel programs, conference vacations, and team-building retreats. Sustainability is also a growing priority for corporations.

Workcations. “Workcations” – which combine work and holiday time – are expected to continue growing in popularity. Domestic travel is a common option for workcations as individuals look for ways to get away from the city and unwind. Travelers can increase productivity and get some much-needed rest and relaxation by combining work and holiday travel.
