Carmel Car & Limo Holds 6th Annual Driver Appreciation Day in July

Carmel Car and Limousine Service honored their drivers by hosting a Driver Appreciation Day barbeque at Carmel’s Drivers Center in Long Island City on July 11. Both kosher and hallal meats were prepared so that drivers of all faiths could eat and enjoy the festivities. According to Dr. Avik Kabessa, Carmel’s Chief Executive Officer, soft drinks, music and lots of appreciation were also on the menu.

Nearly 500 drivers attended the event – along with the head of the Affiliated Drivers Division, the Driver Liaison, the COO, managers/supervisors, dispatchers, phone operators and Dr. Kabessa.

“Our drivers are just as important to us as our customers,” said Dr. Kabessa. “The loyalty of Carmel’s affiliated drivers to the mission of Carmel is second to none in the industry – a fact we neither take for granted or allow it to go unappreciated. We have drivers that have been affiliated with Carmel for 30 years, and a tremendous number of our drivers have been affiliated with us for over 10 years. I started as a driver myself, so I know what it is like to drive for a living, and I appreciate all that they do for us.”

For 35 years, Carmel has been providing affordable, safe, reliable, private transportation to and from all destinations in any of 360 major cities around the world. Carmel also boasts a free worldwide mobile app that comes with $36 in “car cash” and the ability to earn airline miles each time a Carmel ride is booked via the app (available for iPhone and Android) or online at www.carmellimo.com.
